Haven't been down there, yet ... but, the COE "hotline" says the Control Tower work is finished, the lake level is almost 4ft above Summer Pool & rising, and water temp is 40deg (probably taken at dam). I'd expect it to be stained to muddy, depending on which part of the lake we're talking about. With a forecast of rain from Tues-Fri ... I'd expect them to try and dump some water, if there's no flood danger downstream. Even with daily temps being between 50-60deg (low/high) the rainy days won't allow the Sun to warm the shallow dirty water, so I wouldn't expect the water temps to rise all that much.

You can check this daily : Louisville District Daily Lake Report
Or call COE : 270-465-8824 (Daily Lake Report)

Maybe some of the local boys will chime in with their observations, but if not & you do go ... I'd appreciate a report on what you find.

From he Green River Lake COE facebook site pose yesterday
"Some of you may have noticed that the lake is once again full, we are 4 feet above our normal summer pool due to the snow melt and recent rainfall. Due to the high river levels downstream and the incoming rain this week, we will continue to hold the pool level for awhile. These actions may cause high water levels and flooding near boats ramps and parking lots around the lake. Be careful if you are in areas with high water.

The construction on the Green River Lake control tower is complete and therefore we will NOT be dropping the pool level back down to 664 msl. Once we are able to start releasing again, we will only be dropping it down to 668 msl, which is the normal winter pool level. We will begin holding for summer pool beginning March 15th."
