Default Hummingbird Ethernet 5 port switch

Does the Ethernet switch have to be mounted flat and horizontal, as oppose to verticals like on the underneath side of my boat's console?

The instructions said I have to lay it flat and level. What's level on a boat??

I want to mount it on the underside of my console wall.

My boat is a Tracker 175.

I'll have to let Greg answer this one when he checks in Monday ... (Just in case there are warranty issues) ...

It would be a good idea to repost this in the Electronics forum in case Greg doesn't check the individual State forums ...

Vertical or horizontal typically not an issue for switch placement.
