Is it any good for crappie fishing pre spawn fish or better to wait for the spawn . Any pointers on this lake would be greatly appreciated .

From what I understand, it's as good as it's ever been and better than it ever was ... especially on the size of Crappie.

Only pointers I can give is to understand that the majority of the Crappie are Black Crappie ... so, consider that when you fish there, and study the Black Crappie's behavioral preferences.
