    Default Current fishing reports

Well, duck season is now over so its time to start fishing again. Cant wait to bend some poles very soon!

Wondering what the fish are doing right now. Have they been relating to structure, are they scattered on the flats in the afternoons? Heard reports anywhere from 12-14fow to 25fow.

Mostly fish the northern portion of ky lake. Dont want bays or anything like that, just some general updated information.

Going to fish Wednesday this week and knock the dust off of everything. Appreciate any info, good luck out there and be safe.

    Brian

I got out the other day for a short time and caught a few. Been busy with my Brenda's recovery so haven't had a chance to do much homework. I didn't do any brush jump'n just spider rigging in the type of water you described. With the water starting to come back up I expect them to remain there. The size was respectable. Fish were in the outer 1/3 of the bay that I was in. Water temp was 41.

I fished a little while on lbl side Friday morning, had 6 nice whites from 21-23fow and had a couple more pull off the first hour and never found anymore. It was cold, I didn't stay long.

Forgot to mention water was 43 degrees on that side. Lots of bait at the mouth of the bay but didn't catch any fish out there.

I fished the last decent day around here, Wednesday 21st. The further the day got along the shallower the went. I was catching fish that I had to let line out to reach them. It got crazy but was fun.

I'm going tomorrow and Wednesday on Barkley. Going to try a few bays I haven't fished before.

    I'm with you Bandchaser...........

Just finished cleaning up the waterfowl gun after being out in the rain yesterday..
It was a long season but a really good one.

I'll be starting long break this Friday so if all goes well I should have a few reports starting next week. I've still got decoys to pick up from one of my duck holes and few more beds to sink that have been sitting in the yard for way to LONG according to my wife. If I can get those two small projects out of the way this weekend then it should be time for lip ripping starting early next week....... Hopefully!!!

Im on long break and go back friday night. Converting the duck boat to crappie mode today.
My 2nd of 3 daughters turned 15 yesterday. Festivities interfered with the boat conversion. The girls are sad that duck season is over but grinning that its time for some pole bending action!
