Hello All,
I guess I should clarify I would like to visit KY Lake. Would like to find some large KY slabs in Spring. I know everything depends on the weather, but in general when would you plan a trip to KY Lake? Any suggestions for a good guide and decent resort are appreciated.
Would prefer NOT spider rigging but I know that is popular.
Thanks in advance for your help.

You might take a look at Fin N' Feather Lodge in Aurora for a place to stay. The rates are reasonable, it's clean, good boat parking and close to some good restaurants. Fin N' Feather Lodge

Why would you not want to spider rig?

I've wanted to take a guide as well and would also prefer to not spider rig. My reasoning is that I want to learn to crappie fish but do not have the gear and prefer to not have to buy/install the equipment on my boat to spider rig. I hired a guide once on KY lake and he was a disaster. That was before I found this site. If you use one of the guys recommended here then I think you will be fine. This site has been a great resource and the information is top notch! I'm saving up to get Whiskers to show me the ropes.
