Rough River Crappie??

Hey guys!, thinking about heading down for the first time this year to rough for some crappie. Wondering if anyone is having any luck? Are they hanging on the wood down there? Scattered? Up the creeks yet? Not looking for any spots in particular just trying to get an idea of what I'm getting into when I get down there. Thanks a bunch for any advice! - Joe.

I fished rough the last two weekends. Been catching 25-30 fish a trip but only 5-6 keepers.
we have been using jigs fishing standing timber.
