Share a report this evening. Headed out shortly.
Finished with 9 two polling Thursday in that area. No rod holders nor minners were harmed!

Fished south of Jonathan Creek below the bridge last thursday. The weather was very windy. Trolling cranks half the day without success. Spider rigged in side coves out of the wind with minnows and caught several yellow bass but no crappies. Was around several boats all day and didn't see anyone pulling anything in except one lady had a nice fight with a drum. Good luck. a day fishing is better than a day work.

They are dumping water thru as many as 8 gates at the dam. Current will be high with that much water leaving the lake. That's a good thing in summer but not necessarily good for spring or fall fishing. I'm not hearing any good reports but haven't been out myself.

Spent all morning today search/scanning for my next round of stake bed deployments and didn't notice but about 4 crappie fishermen in the areas I was looking at. I'd say that is a pretty good indication the bite is off. Lots of current 80,000+++ CFS and falling lake makes for rough conditions.

There is a huge mud streak right down the middle of the lake!!! Never seen that before except for the flood 4 years ago.

I fished Barkley Thursday and caught 25, of which most were small. Tried Kentucky today and got skunked.

Try going with a little lighter jig/spinner head and a curly tail. Don't be afraid to bump'r up to about .7 if you're spider rig'n. Mostly get's a reaction bite right now.

Went yesterday and caught 1 right off the bat. Didn't catch another fish (other than dinks) for the next 4 hrs. Then the wind laid just a tad and turned a little more outta the North and the bite picked up. Ended the day with 17. Mostly cookie cutter 10.5" to 11" fish.

This fall'n water has hurt the bite a good bit but I think you'll see that improve as the lake stabilizes.

I talked to a commercial fisherman yesterday and he said that the bays are absolutely full of shad so there's some competition out there.
