Fall fishing....

Usually in my deer stand this time of year but my son just got home from Marine boot camp and he wants to hit the lake. Are the crappie in the creeks again yet. Never done any fall fishing so looking for what pattern to follow.

I was out on Barren a week ago and found em in the mouths of bays 16-18 fow. Thank your son for me.

I'm thinking of heading back to Taylorsville since I did so well there this spring. Thanks for the thank you to my son. I will let him know. We are real proud. It was a moving experience seeing him graduate. Now off to infantry training for a few months then off to who knows.

Hey Floyd, why not bring him down to the Ky. Lake Shindig in Oct. I know he would really enjoy that.

He will already be shipped out by then to NC. We only have him until Monday. I'm thinking about heading to KY lake but hard to not deer hunt this time of the year.

Its normal to get 10 days after basic. Now he gas 60 days of infantry training because that's his MOS. After that he is deployed wherever they want to send him. He gets 30 days a year of liberty and I know he is
hoping for the spring run to come home. Its what he has always wanted.
