Heading to Barkley Lake

Heading to Barkley Lake next week for some fishing and kayaking. Wonder how the crappie and red ears are doing. We're stay outside of Cadiz. My week will go well if she catches some fish.

Fished Barkley and Ky. the last few days playing with some new trolling rigs. Fishing is tough to say the least. Good luck and hope you have some good weather. Been looking at some Yak's since a Florida trip.

I am looking forward to some red-ears later this fall. It is still a bit too warm down deep for them to move up into the shallows.
When the temps drop they will seek the sun warmed waters. Until then I will continue to bother the bluegills in the local ponds.

Water temp on ky was 78.1 on Friday by my notes. Haven't been on Barkley. Good luck on trip.

I'm coming down in two weeks for redear/crappie. Any tidbits on the fall redear bite at Barkley? Depths, out off the main river or bays? Thanks, Troy
