Default Kinda odd question about sonar on KY or Barkley

Would anyone be willing and able to give some coordinates of some sort of easy to identify structure on Ky or Barkley. I do not mean fishing structure. I want to have something to try to "tune in" my Elite-7. If you had an image to compare with that would be icing.

I think it would be great if there was a spot on the lake where things were submerged just so you could drive over them to learn to adjust the settings. Kinda like a playground for learning the sonar ropes. One little bay with a map that tells you what is below and a image from a person that knows what they are doing took.

But until then does anyone have something interesting to share and be willing to give coordinates.
    Thanks

Try the old paddle boat area at kentucky dam state park. Lots of concrete and fishing pier that has brush around it. Lots of pictures posted in imaging forum were from there. Hope this helps.

Ask and ye shall receive! Thanks callen!

Any more spots people are willing to share? This will be a great start. My Elite 7 is down imaging only but from the other threads I think I've got something to go look ay next time!

Scan around the metal pole in the paddle boat area that callen mentioned...

Drop a bait there...you just might catch a crappie or 2...

    Thanks rnvinc,

I saw your photos from an earlier post after callen pointed me in the right direction. Are the pictures of the same thing, just one if SI and the other DI? Also I see that the SI at 800kHz seems brighter.

Would you recommend running at 433 or 800 on KY most of the time. I'm new to decent electronics. I just replaced the 3" humminbird that was the fishfinder on the boat when I got it with 2 Elite7's. One has CHIRP. I'm trying to learn as best I can but I only get to go fishing 2-5 times a year so on the water time is limited.

Is there still metal under where that section of the 68 bridge got knocked out? I know a salvage crew removed a lot of it, but there might still be some down there. That might be interesting to take a look at.

Yes the top 2 snapshots are SI (left image at 455kHz-right image at 800kHz)...

The bottom snapshot is DI of the same structure....

Your idea to scan a known structure is the best tool for learning how different settings in your unit affect the image...(the metal pole in the paddleboat area makes it very easy to scan the same track over the structure each time)...

In most situations...(in SI units and DI units)...:

*The 455kHz will be brighter....but fuzzier...
*The 800kHz will be darker .....but clearer...

Yup... There's some asphalt and concrete chunks too.

Thanks guys for all the ideas. I'll start up at the paddle boat area since I have a image to compare to.

Go slow in there I can remember at least 1 hazard. It is a metal pipe about 1.5 in. sticking out of the water when it is low. There are times that it will be under water. it is in the area of the large metal pipe.
