I've had windstream for several years and have had it . The dial up I had wasn't much slower.

Justin, if your asking about internet send SatDoc a pm. He installs satalite systems and also does internet from satellite. He can probably answer all your questions. As far as TV goes I have had Dish for years and completely satisfied.

I have Windstream and it is pretty fast. Have you asked them to test your line and the hub they serve you from? If you have their high speed internet and the facilities are good you should not have a speed issue. I have a wireless router and I was having some speed issues so I swapped out my plain jane router that came as a bundle with my PC and the change was unbelievable.
Here is a site where you can run a speed test and see how it is doing. Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test

I don't know your level of expertise regarding high speed internet so if I insulted your intelligence I apologize. These are just some basics that can affect your data processing speed.

No they haven't tested anything. They told me I was near the end of their line is why my internet is slow. 42 MBPS on the test.

    I don't have Dish...but I did dump Windstream...

I was paying for 12mbps...and never tested over 6...

Then I found out from a windstream field man that my area didn't even have infrastructure to push 12 ...and 6 was the most my area could ever possibly get...

I'm on Time Warner Cable .... paying for 10mbps & testing at 16mbps (according to the test link) and don't think my computer's speed is slow.

How can 42mbps via DSL be "slow" ??
