    Exclamation CrappiePappy update..........

After tracking him down ( where they moved him) i finally got to talk with him today. They have moved him to IDU. At this point they still don't know what
he has. They have done some test but they have came back negative. They did a lung biopsy yesterday. They are waiting for the results to come back either
late tomorrow afternoon or Friday. He sounded good on the phone. Still feeling about the same as the last time i talked to him. They are still giving him meds to cover a wide range of infections just in case. He is getting up and walking thru the hospital ( probably chasing the nurses ) and stepping outside for a bit. Since he retire from there, he knows most of the people there anyways. They have not said what the next step would be if the biopsy comes back negative so keep our friend in our thoughts and prayers.

Hope you get to feeling better real quick. You must be one tough ol' fart to do-it-yourself IV! I work with blood and guts most every day with no problems but let somebody come at me with an IV needle, my knees start to buckle. Best of luck with it.

Bacterial pneumonia / necrotizing pneumonia .... uh, no, they really never specifically identified the "bug", so they treated me with 3 different antibiotics to cover the whole spectrum of possibilities. Now I'm on another antibiotic and have a PICC Line that I hook the IV bags of antibiotics up to. I'll be doing that every 8hrs for the next two weeks .... so no fishing for Pappy for a while.

.... oh, I'm not giving myself "shots"

I have a PICC Line already in my arm. All I have to do is flush it, hang the bag of antibiotics & let it run in over about 30mins, then flush the line again ... and repeat every 8hrs. Home Health will send a nurse out, every so often, to check on the PICC and me, and to draw labs.
