We made our annual trp to the bay .Fished cypress and Panther bay ,5 crappie in 4 days .ouch .Water temp got up to 63 deg. on sat and we thought it would be good .Tried minows and bobber, casting jigs ,vertical jigging .nothing worked .We like that area but cant seem to don good there .Didnt talk to anyone else that had any better luck .
Is it just there or were the fish turned off in other places as well?

I just made my first trip to KY lake and fished the same places you did this past Friday and Saturday. We had planned to fish Sunday morning before leaving but said forget it. We caught 5 crappie in 2 days. The ones we caught were very nice with one being 15 inches. We saw hardly anyone catching fish. Most I heard of anyone catching was 10 in one day. My Dad got 3 with a minnow under a bobber shallow and I got two on road runners in about 10 feet.
I would be curious if its just that area or the rest of the lake as well ,I dont need spacific locations or numbers ,or PM if you want .
Those two never been known as a crappie producers. The banks are too steep to make for decent spawning areas.
^that should read *two have*. LOL
