Smoked boys!
What ever was going Thursday, im not to sure. First thing in the morning, sun barely up, water temp 42. The plan was to start out in there normal spawning areas, then work my way back into deeper water if nothing happened there. Well, it was one of those magical mornings. glided in to my first past, pithed my jig, and thump! wow! Only 3ft down close to cover, two more fish and i had a pattern. I had a feeling theses fish would be big this year but had know idea they would be this healthy. Come home and weighed 10 fish, combined total, 13 pounds, those were just the larger ones. Weird though. 42 and they were hitting like the water was the upper 50s. Great day!
Today though, really blowed, pun intended. this morning first light, water temp 46, and no takers, anywhere, place was like a ghost town. Didnt stay long to try and figure much out thoguh, 30mph gust, is not fun fishing in a 12ft Jon boat, would of stayed if had a larger craft, still a beautiful day!
So, did you all do any good today?? What do yall think was the difference between this morning and yesterday morning? i would of imaged they would of been on fire this morning, the was not even close to being up early this morning. only thing i noticed was the water temp higher, should of been a good thing, and the water a little bit clearer, still some what cloudy though. I did not try minnows btw, i just dont use them anymore. Mainly, i feel more accomplished when I do set into one. Well yall have good one, then a better one.

Had day/s like that, sad to say. Where (which lake) are you fishing ?
-
Hey there ccrapiejohn, I was on my home lake cedar creek.
-
I may have saw you if you were out on Thursday. I was in a red bassmaster. I got there around 10, only caught a few. Were you fishing near the bridge?
-
Well hey bubba how yall doing? Yep, you saw me at that spot. LOL......not sure if I noticed the boat, mainly due to I have CRAPPIE vision! Around ten, the fish had moved toward the bottom, bite was there, but ever so soft, you couldnt even tell they picked it up. Just had to watch my H-VIS line. Well Yall, Take care see you on the water.

Hey EC... ...we were on J-creek Thursday and had the same luck. Ended up with 16, all of them came on jigs 2-4 feet deep over cover. With the wind coming in we went to Eddy Creek on Friday and it was pretty dead. Only had two keepers.

Jcreek and eddy creek, i dont believe i have ever heard of them. wheres this located? I we are talking two different bodies of water, here thats actually really interesting. Being this, wath was going on with the crappie on friday. Thrusday awesome day, then friday another story. I could understand if the wind was howling all night and early in the morning but it wasnt. we had a rather warmer night that night, and the water temp was even higher on friday. Now, we are back to some real cold weather thats really going to pull that water back down, and keep me off the water. At least tomorrow, any cold wet and windy, thats just not fun. TT

Jonathan Creek on KY Lake. Eddy Creek on Barkley.

Well then that is interesting.....Two different bodies of water, same story. Great fishing this past thursday, then friday the bottom dropped out i wonder what was going? Hummm.....But, i only took the time to fish last friday early morning before the wing started gusting 30 plus mph. I should of went out latter that even, after the wind subsided.
