as much as I like that small lake I don't go there very often. It's a case of love the lake, hate the boat ramp.
From the ramp go left to the second cove used to be some good fishing in there. wish I could be more help.

I agree the ramp is horrible. Seems like you risk your life or boat anytime you put in there. Just my opinion. As far as crappie I have never done much but two years ago I got into some gills in May and never left the spot. I probably bagged 50 or so. These are not KY Lake size gills but they were large enough that I ate them and they tasted the same. That was in a small cove headed towards the damn.

I live with in 3 miles of the Lake and very seldom fish it.Its hard to find keeper size Crappie or Gills.You will catch tons of small fish before you get a good one to eat.Ill go on over to Taylorsville before Guist Creek.
I feel the same way. I live within 30 minutes and hardly go there. The gills I caught was a one time deal that never happened before or since. Good for some nice bass though.
