I fish reelfoot mostly but depends on where the fish are: If i'm trollin i use half and half. Half with c & c style rigs with minnows and half with double jig rigs with lake forks in different colors til i find what they like. If the fish are shallow i use single pole with a 1/16 oz head with a lake fork and a nibble...
This isn't intended as theme hijack, but could someone explain the " c & c " rig? Have noticed it mentioned couple times in this thread. Very limited spider rig experience for me, but when I do will use one hook with minnow and another jigged.

Lots of good opinions in this thread! I've only been spider rigging a little while now. This is my third season. Up till now on the local water I've been running a single hook rig. Mostly just with minnows but occasionally I'd throw a curly tail jig in the mix although i never noticed it made much of a difference. When I'd fish down at reelfoot I always bought the local made reelfoot rigs which c & c have now made famous. I really like the double hook rigs but I've had alot of trouble keeping them from tangling unless I'm sitting pretty much perfectly still.
