I'm in the same boat as you, I haven't fished Taylorsville during the winter and want to plan a trip to hit the water, but lack of knowledge for winter fishing is slowing me down from going.

I haven't fished T-Ville in the winter either but I hear they are catching crappie right now. The guys I know who fish in winter there are looking for deep submerged structure near the hump area.

T-ville lake has had huge restocking effort in the past 3 years and it has made a big difference, the lake it self has a ton of standing timber.I have had my best luck fishing horizontal cover deep on the main lake. This time of the year I would fish between settlers trace and chowning lane ramp.Prolly want to take some small minnows and 1-16oz red head jigs with char/white tubes. good luck
