    Default KY Lake hotels

Hello everybody. We are planning a family trip in a few months to KY lake. This will be our first time back to the lake since we found out we were having a kid 6 years ago, and my daughter's first time to the lake. It's been so long and I know how much things can change, but can anybody recommend some decent hotels? We usually stay at the northern end of the lake, around the Gilbertsville, Kuttawa area. When we were down there more often we stayed at Barkley Dam Motel, which was nice and had a lot of space. I have no idea what it's like there now so any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.
    Jason

Jason there hotels off I-24 exit 31 hwy 453 (the road that goes into LBL), a couple off I-24 exit 27 on hwy 62 at Calvert City and one off I-24 exit 40 on hwy 62 at Eddyville. These are chain type hotels.

Bruce and Gail still owns the barkley dam motel and its still a nice place to stay. Lots of room for boats, quite place to stay and rates are good.

    Default southern half ky lake

I like the southern half of ky as far as fishin goes but there is not as many resorts, marinas or people as the north end that's for sure.Dont know when your goin but the better ones can get booked up early. Kenlake is prolly one of the cleanest with hotel rooms and cottages but the marina is to far to walk to from your room if that matters.Paradise is a great place to stay with condo rooms and about a dozen cottages with lakeviews, clean, clean, reasonable rates with easy walk to your boat, hard to beat but again it books up early. good luck

Consider the lodge at Moors Resort. Right on the water and stuff to do when you aren;t on the water. Not too far from Draffenville or the parkway.

My son and I stayed at Cozy Cove Waterfront Resort for three Novembers. They have a web site www.cozycovewaterfront.com
