Default How far driving from Cypress Springs to Blood River Launch?

I have a place booked right near cypress springs resort. I'm thinking we might want to try the blood river area especially if winds are up. How long will it take me to get to the nearest launch and which one would that be? Thanks

You can be at blood in about 30 minutes. There are a couple of ramps on the south side of the bay but I can't remember the name of them to save my life. Don't get down there much.

IMO Wildcat park on Blood would be your best bet. I know there are other places to launch, but Wildcat is paved all the way including the ramp, and if you get there early parking shouldn't be a problem. It isn't the easiest to get to so maybe some of the guys or gals that use it will suggest the best route from Cypress. I bet it will take you 45 minutes to an hour.

If you are worried about the wind,I would stay in cypress. It gets pretty rough in Blood River when the wind is up.

Thanks all. I found the address to wildcat creek and mapquest says it's 17 miles and 28 minutes.

    That's cool 10 point. It's closer than I thought!
