Set your boat up so that you don't have to get out of your seat for anything...(especially if you have cable steer)...
That goes for poles, tackle, net, livewell, live bait (if used), lunch, pliers, coffee...
Never leave the TM unattended ...(unless you're spider riggin by drifting with the wind...or you have electric steer TM)...

i agree, make everything so it is in arms reach. also, i like my rod holders taller than normal so you are looking more down the pole and not over the top of them. I think it is easier to see bites when using long poles. I dont really like the T bar rod holders because they dont seem to be strong enough for what i like so i made my own rod holders. they are taller and strong enough you can hang on. but they are not real user friendly as far as taking from down and put back up. and pole length i use 16 footers and tring out a 20 footer.
Lake Talquin lodge in Florida has some nice rod holders. They have a web site if you can't find them on their site just call and ask for Pat.
Cumberland. Hi-Teks you will be happy with eather one .stay with one size rods. Easy to set an easy to store..different size rods in the boat can be a mess. Stay away from drift master .got one I would almost give away.
I got cumberland 360 now and may move them to the back I'm going to get spyder locks for the front for sure,maybe get them at spring camp
