Had someone ask me is there a length of membership. I hadn't thought of that..
If they're referring to how long they've been a member of Crappie.com .... no, there is no minimum length of membership time, number of posts, or whatever. They would, however, have to be known by another member attending the tournament ... so that they could be identified as a member of Crappie.com and not a "ringer" or "lurker". This rule was implemented since we do not have any form of identification card, denoting membership. That may change for "club" membership, but we're not that far along, yet.
We "may" have to have people sign up for entry into these tournaments ... so that the membership requirement can be checked on. But, I'm not a tournament official, so I'm just offering my opinion.

Maybe we can require everyone to pre sign on the sight if they are going to fish. As only members can post this would verify membership. We could all post on by the day before if we were fishing. It would help the tournament directors also. This would tell us how many boats were fishing if we list our name and partner beforehand. Also thanks to crappiepappy for all of your work and time getting this going.
High Bridge that is a great idea. Everybody post the day before if they are going to fish.
Slabeye had a good point about saving miles on the truck to whatever ramp, so what about a central take off point in the boats. Just a thought.
yea on these what needs to be done to join this series
Express your opinions/concerns about the rules ... on this thread.
Vote for your choice of up to 5 lakes where you'd want to see a tournament held ... on the other thread.
You're a member of Crappie.com ... so you're already eligible to fish them.
We haven't decided yet, how we're going to validate eligibility of members we don't know ... other than by being known by another well known member who's not on your team. (obviously if they're on your team & well known, you wouldn't need validation). But that rule hasn't been set in stone, yet, either. It was proposed to keep non-member lurkers from being able to fish the tourneys (& potentially cheat, without any way to identify them).

thanks so much for info i am very interested been looking for club or tourn. around ky. will be keeping check here to see how it goes
As of right now :
The "central take off point" will be the weigh-in ramp site ... so you'd have to pay your entry fees in advance, if you were going to launch at another ramp. We just haven't figured out how those launching at a different ramp are going to get their fees into the Weighmaster's hands. (which was one reason many voted to have only one ramp be used by all participants)
