    Default Green River ramps

    Greetings,

Been at Green all week while on summer break. Have not fished due to a bunch of work I needed to do here at our campground. Heard the alarm go off each day as they are pulling water.

This is what I know for sure about the ramps:
    ...Site 1 is closed
...Lone Valley is open as usual
    ...Holmes Bend is open
    ...Green River Marina is open
    ...Tailwater/spill way is closed

I don't live close to Smith's Ridge or Pikes Ridge so I did not check on them.
Plan on fishing Friday so I will check on the others while on the water.

    Regards,
    Terry G.

Thanks, Terry ... good info !! Keep it coming, and post a fishing report if you go Friday.

I would think Emerald Isle Marina would also be open.

I was under the impression that they wouldn't start pulling Green down until Nov 1st, so maybe they're just dropping it back to Summer Pool ... seeing as how it's been almost 2ft above SP for the last several months. Hopefully, they won't drop it fast, once they do start pulling it down. That would make the Fall Brawl on Nov 2nd a bit dicey.

You should try and come down & fish the Fall Brawl with us !!

Emerald Isle is open and had a parking lot full of trailers today. It appears that Smith and Pikes are closed. No campers, boats or trucks anywhere on Pikes and the parking lot was clear as I drove by Smith's.

Water was 74 degrees today around noon at Goat Island. When I left Butler Creek at 7:00 it was 77 degrees. Water had its usual fall Green River color.

Caught fish using minnows around brush and tight lining in Butler. Caught a couple healthy LMB on minnows too. My ten year old may have FINALLY caught the fishing bug after boating a couple around ten inches or so. You would have thought they were three pounders from KY Lake! Most of the time he is a fish "distractor." I went through the same with his older brother who fishes with me a lot now.

Hope to see you folks at the Brawl if I can get away.

    Take care.
    Terry G.
