Had a large time, Cuz. I've had lots of days that after 8-10 hours on the water I would have been proud of the 14 keepers we had today.

Funny story on the Bandits. I went into Fast Eddies this morning to pick up some pink 200 Bandits because my new paint epoxy top-coat was still sticky on my 200s. I was standing at the check out when this guy I know who's a big tournament bass fisherman walks up and says "What is up with them pink baits?" I told him we had been catching several crappie on them. He then said "I'm too manly to fish with a pink bait". I told him good, that meant more for the rest of us. He then told us he had been on the lake all afternoon on Sunday and had 1 keeper crappie. I didn't tell him we had 19 keepers on his not-so-manly baits Sunday afternoon.

BTW, the Bandit has black back fading to purple to pink to black belly with pink glitter.

Nice job fellers. I wanna go next. Just kidding. Got to work a while like we talked about. Great paint on them cranks my friend. Do I see a sickle treble hook in the back on that pick ? You gonna have to take up donations for your local charity. Wait till crappie camp. You gonna get hammered with questions!!

    3!

You didn't miss anything today. Northeast wind and pretty rough going. The bait we have been targeting has disappeared in 2 days of weather change. We caught up with some of it later in the morning but the crappie were either not there or tight-lipped. Water temps have dropped from 80 to 74.5 in some places we tried. if the weather stabilizes this week it will still be on. If not, time to break out the longline gear.
