    Default I worry too much

The last time out in the boat I noticed that the fire extinguisher was in the red and not wanting to get ticked, I went to Walmart and bought a new one early this morning before going to the lake. On the drive over I thought to myself, will I ever loose the urge, the deep down joy of that "thump"? As I drove I thought about that until I came apon two deer that were grazing beside the road and it made me think of those days when i'd seen deer and done so well. Got to the parking lot, unhooked the boat, pushed on the gas bulb a few times, then hooked the rope to the front eye of the boat and the other end to the hitch, back it in and hit the brakes and it slide off the trailor. After parking I fired that ole reliable motor up and off I went to the first set of stumps i'd thought about thru the night. Pulled up to that first stump and with that ten foot rod baited with two minnows, I eased it down along side that stump and there it was, "thump". A smile spread across my face, and my worst fear had vanished.
Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer!

Very nicely put! Made me long to feel that "thump" again myself!

My son said that exact thing a year ago when he said, "you live for that thump!" Made ole dad proud.
