So i just wanted to thank everone for the prayers, they worked. After a 9 hour surgery he is finally out, and recovery can begin. He still has a long road ahead of him but he is a fighter for sure...
prayers will keep coming for a speedy recovery. :ThumbsUp

I have to give a shout out to one of my dads surgeons, Doctor Keith Wilson. He is the chief of staff at Cincinnati University Medical Center, i hope that no one here ever needs his services, but he is an awesome doctor.
ok, so this will probably be my last update on this, today marks 1 week he has been in the icu and after a brief scare with "ICU Delirium" the doctors came in today and switched his trach to a smaller one that should allow him to start being able to talk again, they removed him from some of his monitors and he was able to get up and walk down the hall and back. If everything goes as planned he will be transferred to a rehab facility tomorrow. Thanks again for all the prayers.
