    Default Taylorsville

Went out to what Jigboy calls the "Dead Sea" yesterday. Caught about 3 dozen, only three keepers. Fish were in 11-15 fow at about 6-8 feet deep. Caught em all on minnows. Surprisingly not many boats on the water (for Taylorsville). (P.S. Thanks Jigboy for the tip).

It was a bittersweet day, as my fishin buddie, my middle son, moves to Chicago today. So yesterday was probably the last time the two of us will be able to go. I'm gonna miss having him around.

Went there today ... nothing changed from what you experienced. Biggest difference was all my keepers (all 5 of them ) came on a blu/char jig. Most all the fish we caught came off the ends of blowdowns. We had minners, but they only caught dinks.

Funny thing was .... ALL the keepers were females, & they all still had eggs !! I'd also have to say that almost all of the Crappie we caught were Black Crappie.

Not any more boat traffic on the water than what I'm used to for a Saturday, which was a pleasant surprise. And the weatherman missed on all accounts ... it was much hotter than 69deg, the wind never blew hard enough to be a problem, and it DID rain (albeit only light sprinkles for a short while).

    .... cp

You dogs.... I would have gone out there if I knew you guys were gonna be there. I went to Indiana and hit Hardy Lake for some gills. We didn't do much but my buddy stayed till right at dark and caught a lot the last hour. Last Monday he caught around 100 in the late afternoon. I was hoping to really get into them but still had a good time. Think I'm heading out to TVille on Friday afternoon. My troll around and see if I can hook up on any hybrids.

I have never fished for them on T-Ville. I always go to KY Lake or Hardy Lake in Indiana. I actually got into a nest of them last year on Guist Creek and caught 80 or so. No real size but you still get a lot of meat off 80. Hopefully someone will know about them on T-Ville and will respond but I'm not the one to respond about gills there.

I went up there for a few hours last weekend with my son and two grandkids and we kept over 70 of them. I think they were just starting to move into the shallow water. They weren't very big but I haven't caught any real good bluegill in years up there. If I have time I might go back this weekend.
