Decided today would be a good day to try some fishing on Kentucky. Started out bad when I launched the boat and the outboard wouldn't fire up. Not a big deal....drop the trolling motor and make the best of it. So I troll and troll....dunking minnows, wax worms and red wigglers. Not much going on from what I could see. One old guy pulled in one as I trolled past. There were quite a few out there, but didn't see anyone catching....just a lot of people flying too close to the guy limping around on a trolling motor. Finally pull up to one of the stake beds drop a line and suddenly....the cork went under! They weren't biting hot and heavy and I missed more than I caught (they were biting very light) but it wasn't a bad day really. Only caught 4 worth keeping and ran out of time. Caught one bluegill that was decent, but it was out in 9 feet of water with the crappie.

Bad spring this year. I can say it was Mother Nature instead of TVA this time.
I think the mistake a lot of us make is thinking the state-appointed shrink is our friend.
