Gunpowder creek 4/14

So my dad and i fished gunpowder creek on sunday, the creek was up and muddy, we werent doing any good when another boat passed us and asked if we were doing any good, and we said no, he said "yea they are slow today" he later passed us up again and he was heading back up into the creek. He again asked if we were doing any better, we had managed to catch 2 small crappie. he said "you need to go up the creek, they are biting up there" i had a hard time believing him, buy hey it was worth a shot. the creek was clearer, and plenty of fish showing up on the finder but we could not buy a bite. We saw the guy in the parking lot and he asked if we got on them up where we were fishing and i said no, he said him and his buddy had limited out where we were fishing. He showed me the fish and he had some good ones. Just goes to show you, only if it is meant to be...

Did you fish shallow, like 1-2' deep. What were the water temps?

yea i even tried 6 inches right up against the bank, the warmest i found was 62 degrees. i was hoping to get down there some time this week, but it looks like it is going to rain again mid week.
