Default Boat traffic on Cedar Creek

Went to Cedar Creek today I have never seen boater that was so disrespectful of each other, I think people have forgotten that it is a fishing lake instead of a pleasure boat lake. A lot of were just running down the lake mudding up the banks making it very hard to fish.

I'll bet you would love Jonathan Creek on a March or April weekend.

The lake is only 784 ac. When you have a 100 boats on any given day and 90 percent is bass fishing, it doesn't take much to muddy it up.

Because of the rain coming in late Friday and raining the rest of the weekend, i think i may give it a shot tomorrow and cuss for a while .

I see it everywhere. From KY Lake to Taylorsville it seems like people simply want to run from one end to the other and of course never slow down even if their 50 yards from you. I talked to a guy at Taylorsville the other day who had to run by me half a dozen times. Full speed just ripping to his next spot. I never could tell what he was fishing for because I never saw him put a line in the water. He pulled out right next to me and asked how I did. Told him how many I caught and he said he didn't catch anything. He asked what my secret was. I informed him that I actually keep the line in the water instead of Riding around in my boat all day.

I got a buddy that each and every year I out fish on Lake Erie for smallies. Same baits. Same boat. Same presentation. Lots more bass for me. The difference is I probably make three to one cast to him. He continually is switching up baits or adjusting this or that. I just figure to catch more fish is almost like my deer hunting, the more I'm in the deer stand the better my odds are. The more I keep my line wet the better chance I have to catch my crappie.

Jigboy that's good advice on keeping the line in the water. I'd like to have saw his face when you told him that.

I don't think he knew what to say. He just kind of stared at me like he couldn't believe I said it. That's the benefit of being 6'3", sometimes they just stare at you shocked. He also might have been shocked for never thinking about the fact that you need your line in the water some time during the day to actually call it fishing instead of cruising.

I agree. I'm in an 18' aluminum Sea Ark boat so I blow all over the lake anyway. My only regret not getting the big fiberglass is getting blown all over the lake with waves and wind but with the added weight and gas prices I guess I can live with it.
