Had alot of fun on Barren today.
I put the boat in a little before 7:00am this morning and man was it ever foggy. Put in at the state ramp and was able to work my way around the marina and into Peters Creek and fished the high wall till the sun burnt off the fog around 8:30am. Early the temperature was 47 degrees so I still fished deep and was spider rigging the channel at 12-14 foot deep and they were in the middle or just off the edges when i'd hit schools of fish. Around 11:00 it seemed to slow so I tried throwing a jig but only caught bluegill so I moved around till I found them again on the main lake and still deep at around 12-14'. At the end of the day, with full sun all day, found 55 degree water and the bigger fish were still in deep water. Kept 24 crappie and had another great day.
Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer!
