After the first failed attempt at Kentucky lake I am giving it another try at one of these creeks. Are the names mentioned above any good for crappie around this time?
All are good, crowded too. Don't give up, it took us a few trips before we did any good.
Put un at wildcat creek ,fish blood river.
When I first went I did not know anything about crappie pattern or KY lake so I just launched the boat at the state park and went straight into the main lake and fished in 20-30 ft of water and ended up with none. After joining this forum, a lot of member on this board gave me useful tips so hopefully I can put them in use this weekend.
Oh ok gotcha. Yea ive been there before. But ive been puttin together a pretty good plan for this coming weekend. But you know as soon as i get there there will be an ungodly amount of boats there and plan is shot lol. But i have thank everyone on this site with the knowledge and great info they have shared. Cant wait to learn more thanks guys
Best plan is look for the biggest wad of boats...
Then get out a contour map of where those boats are sitting and get idea of what type of bottom or creek channels or banks those boats are targeting...
Then find similar contours or bottom features anywhere on the map and ....go get em..
A contour map is worth it's weight in gold for structure oriented crappie...
