KY & Barkley 3/29-3/30

We will be taking advantage of the 3 day weekend and will be heading down to try our hand at some slabs. Neither of us have ever fished either lake. We are just going on a wing and a prayer. We will be staying at Palisades near the Eddy Creek ramp. Any ideas where to start or how to fish this location?

any thoughts on how to make the boat work for us the most efficently? We have obviously fished once or twice, but the it always helps to draw from the wealth of local wisdom...thanks for your help!!

first thing is keep a close eye on the depth it can change very fast in the bays and even some places on the main lake.
