    Default Ky. Lake Report

I have been fishing several places the last 2 weeks and the fish are very scattered to a few deep in the stake beds. Lbl side water is just a little clearer with some slight staining in the major bays on the west side. Water temps are about 47 degrees right now.I am fishing tight in the cover @ 17' and picking up a few keepers with some small fish. The spider riggers seem to be doing better since the fish are scattered with some good catches in the major bays. Water temps are behind right now and the majority of the fish are holding offshore. Still at winter pool 354.9 with 9 gates open on Ky. and 2 on Barkley. Be careful out since the water is low and please wear your PFD. Here is some history from here. Thanks Ifish for the info, I will be down late next week for several weeks. I have noticed the hancock site is not working & im lost without knowing the water temps. I have to give you & wiskers a warning my grandson will be down with me the week of april 1 and since he met you and wiskers at the shindig he is always asking about you two. I am amazed how much he enjoyed the shindig and how he talked to a lot of the members. He is now always asking to go fishing with me, but he is complaining about the lakes here in central ky are not as good as ky lake. His mom and sister are going to Fla. for spring break, but he said no way he will be with pop at Ky lake. He cant understand why wiskers doesn't like zebco reels but he thinks he's funny. I have to think all the Crappie dot com members at the shindig for being a good influence on a 10 year old boy.

Hey DD, I am glad your grandson enjoys our CDC family and especially likes to go fishing with pops. I don't understand the Wiskers thing.!!! LOL I contacted Hancock biological and here is there report.
I am sorry to tell you that ALL the water quality probes were pulled from the lake on Monday for repair and service. They hope to be able to reinstall them early next week. We’ve received several e-mails and even a few phone calls this time … tournament this weekend. Lousy timing ….

Talked to a buddy of mine this morning. They caught 50 keepers yesterday below the 79 bridge. Most were barely 10" and in 4 feet of water.

Don't seem like we'll get it this week. Maybe late next week wil be better. Got 6 crappies in the first 2 days but slammed the gills today. Kept 22 out of over 50 caught. All in shallow water on waxworms.

Looks like sun every other day according to weather app. Weather channels says it's going to be cool for next 2 weeks but whenever it begins to warm look out, it'll be on fire. I'll be down in 2 weeks I hope we get some sun by then.
