Default KY Lake - Moores Resort - 03/21 through 03/23

    All,

I am headed to Kentucky lake next weekend at Moores resort. This will be our second trip to this lake. The first trip was a disaster since we ran into a major storm causing the water to rise 15' shutting us down. This year I am able to spend some time with family and would like to make sure we have a great time.

I don't have a spider rig set up on my boat so my options would be trolling, 2 pole or tossing bobbers out. Unfortunately my depth finder quit on me last month and yet to replace it so I may be going in blind. If anyone has any tips or suggestions in that area please reply back or post me privately.

    Thanks in advance.

Suggestion #1. Get a Depthfinder! Not only for fishing, but for your safety! Especially this time of year.

Great Advice. That's exactly what I was going to say.

There should be some blacks on the bank by then...

With no electronics you might pick up fish by trolling parallel to the bank....

With kids involved ...you might troll with the baits under bobbers to help keep the baits off the bottom...

4 yrs ago I watched a guy bust up a lower unit trolling down the bank at least 75' off the bank infront of Big Bear Campground. The bottom gets close to the top quick in some places! Be careful!

Headed to Bass pro tonight. Thank you for the advice. We always seem to miss the action so I am doing all I can. I am catch and release so no real threat to fish out a hole.

I'm get off the boat the 19th & plan on opening my camper the next day.

Y'all get a chance. swing by Big Bear Camp ground, Lot 73. You can push into the bank right below my camper.

There may be several CDC members on my deck in the evenings swap'n lies.

If ya see a fat guy in a white Lowe 180W, with a Black Lab in the back, stop & say hi.
