    Default NanoFil ?

Anyone here in Kentucky using NanoFil line? I ordered and got a rolls of 2 lb test and 1 lb test. I have not spooled either up yet. I had to look up some knots, as the stuff is slick. It is expensive, as a 150 yd spool of each set me back $40. I fish some ponds that are heavily fished in the summer, and I am hoping I can get some of the spooky crappie later this year. I do OK with 2 lb mono, but am hoping to do a little better.

    Clint,
I used it all last year for crappie. Very sensitive buy yea it is slick. Even when you tie the recommended knots they tend to come loose. It frays pretty easy to.
I switched to Suffix 832 this year and so far I like it better. No frays and the knots hold
    Good luck

Clint, i hope you have better luck with it than i did. Knots slipping and wind knots finally drove me away. Went back to 4lb mono.

This has been my experience with the Nanofil. I spooled up some clear 2# for UL sheepshead fishing in the gulf and it knotted on me bad. And I'm not buying the whole zero memory claim either. I went back to the various Sufix lines in monofilament.
