I would say it depends on the time of year you go - when the crappie are hitting in the spring most likely you will see bunches of boats on the good spots.Quote:

I see many guides get around $300 a day now and that could be a big factor - if you can afford it try and get the guide the first day you are going to fish and pick his brain for info making sure to take notes and mark your lake map - maybe he will give you some GPS numbers also.
