Branson Mills is gravel and can be busy especially that time of year. There can also be issues with parking when it is busy. It is not a developed or maintained ramp. I lived in Keniana Subdivision near Hamlin for several years and never tried it but I had a glass boat and we had our own subdivision ramp. Branson is definetly a place for aluminum only so you might be o.k. Do you have a four wheel drive in case you dig in? There is a state ramp, Patterson Point, at the end of 444 near Hamlin but you have to run the main lake 3 miles north to get into Blood. I found quick that if you live on that side of Blood your choices are limited. I have a good friend that lives near Hamlin and I regularly go into Branson Mills to pick him up to go fishing. I launch at Waters Edge Campground across from Wildcat Ramp, where I have a camper. If you try Branson be careful. There are stumps and chunks of concrete just under the water in the shallows. And we will likely still be near winter pool during your visit. I would say it is worth the drive to come around to Wildcat but it will be packed that time of year too. No easy answer huh! Oh, and you will like Jack. This is the first year for many I haven't guided. But when I was busy I regularly sent people to him and we shared information. He is a good guy! Regardless you will have a good time Gopreach!

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
