Greetings,
Getting ready to order a HB 898c HDSI for my 2006 Bass Tracker 175. I've been researching where to install the transducer so I can have side scan at slow speed (1-10 mph) and sonar at top speed (35-40 mph) without using two transducer.
I would appreciate information from folks who may have a setup like this or could offer good information.
Thanks,
TG

My guess would be you'd have to mount the TD on/under the step similar to the pic shown to get reading at that speed but you may not keep bottom lock at top speed. That is hard to do on trackers. Several threads on that issue. GL

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
I never lose signal even at WOT with this placement. No "Roster tail" either.

I lose bottom with my DI unit at WOT unless it is just slick as glass on the water. I had to mount mine between a rib and where the trailer bunk extends past my transom about 4 inches.

This site used to have lots of photos when I was looking for ideas. I don't have Tracker myself.
