Default KY Fish & Wildlife seeks input on potential restrictions for baitfish movement

KY Dept. Fish and Wildlife is seeking angler input on potential restrictions on baitfish movement in Kentucky.

Visit our web site Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources - Homepage www.ky.fw.gov Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources - Homepage

to take the online survey during the month of February.

You can pass this along to other anglers that may have a concern with this potential restriction, or in support of the restriction.

    Thanks

I would answer but I would like to know if you could give your input on the meldahl dam restrictions for fishing. Couple years ago I talked to Fred Howes and he could basically careless. Last spring I called the department and spoke to so called Mr.Howes boss and he said he would call me back and here it is one year later and still have not heard anything. The issues on hand was for the game and fish to work with the core on our boating access or to move the bouys where they used to be to help us fishermen out to access the ky side. Maybe you or somebody else could help us here in northern kentucky. I am pretty upset with things that is going on here. I feel pretty strong about this as I have fished below meldahl on the ohio river since I was alittle boy and now or since this hydro project started everything here has went down hill. What the real heart break is that when I reached out to the game and fish everyone said I will call you back and have never heard nothing back. Meldahl Dam is one of the very few places of a large body of water around northern kentucky that you could potentually fish all year round.

Trump is like the guy that comes on the playground and beats up on the guys that's been pushing you around for the last 30 or 40 years.

I did my part & gave as detailed answers as possible on the survey. I'd also like to see some answers on the Meldahl restrictions as ezgo posted. Lived in the area & fished it my entire life and hate to see what has happened recently. If someone wasn't following the rules, penalize that person & not the rest of us. Us Northern Ky. guys only have so many places to fish without driving for an hour plus.
Paul can you find out what is going on down there???

Take the survey guys. They need our imput. We complain when they aren't doing what we want them to and when they do something we need to support their efforts..This is what your license money is used for!!
Take you kids fishing today!!! They will be grown (and married and have children of their on) tomorrow. Then you can take your GRANDKIDS!

Survey not long to take. Sounds like they want to try and keep the spread down but I got a feeling it's to late!

One’s a gizzard shad & the other an asian carp. Bodies very similar but snout & eye quite different. (upper is a shad)
