    Default Barren River

Does anyone have any lake conditions for Barren? Thinking about making a trip this weekend. Any reports appreciated as well.

Was there yesterday...... tough is a understatement. Managed 17 keepers though. Fish were scattered

Great, thanks for the information. Sounds like the weather isn't going to be on our side this weekend.

I'm new to crappie fishing. I live close to barren lake. Where are some good spots to catch them this time of year? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

U will need a small aluminum boat and or jet drive to get to the spots I consider the best. 1 underwater stumps just b4 the pass at walnut creek. 2 springs on the Austin bluff ( these r just across the river channel from the stumps) you can see them when there is not a lot of current or wind. 3 The Big Rock about a mile up river from spots 1 and 2 it's the first big rock outcrop on the left of the channel headed up. Spot 4 The Big Spring 1/2 mile or so from the big rock comes out of a bluff also on the left side of the channel. I hit those spots everytime other that look for eddy water with cover good luck

Here's a site that might help : Louisville District Daily Lake Report

Click on the blue numbers under "Todays Pool Feet" ... and it will show you a chart for water levels, rain, and dam outflow for the past year.

I have a ph# for Lake Info for Barren ... 270 646 2122 (but it's limited info, and doesn't tell you any water temps or conditions)
