Barren River 12/15

Fished from 9-5. Ended up with 10 keepers between 10-12 inches. Alot of fish under 10. Water was stained and 47-48 degrees. Tightlined jig and minnow rigs, 80% of the fish took the minnow. Caught all my fish on the flats in 8ft of water, tried fishing the river channel without out much luck. Wind and rain made it pretty rough. Pretty pleased for my first trip to the lake.

I fished a couple of times. And caught most of my fish in the river channel, how bad stained was the water?

I tried the river channel for a while without any luck. Lake is fishable, but is a little more than lightly stained.

Thanks for the report John.For conditions being as they were id say you had a good day...Congrats to you on that!Im still waiting to get my motor back from the shop and i hope i can get it real soon,starting to get cabin fever or crappie fever not sure which maybe a little of both lol.Are you putting in at state dock?i figure thats where I'll be launching my boat.
