    Default Barren 11/21/12

Went to Barren this morning. Got there at daylight and fished to 8:30am. I had to get back to drop some turkeys in some hot grease. Caught 23 and got to see an awesome sunrise.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1353528009.530305.jpg

Good catch, They were biting good today. Took my brother in law for his first time ever crappie fishing. We had 39 keepers topped off with a 12lb flathead. Bro in law caught it on an 11' Sam Heaton with 6lb line. For a while, was unsure whether he had it or it had him. Was a beautiful day. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1353538650.806157.jpg

Nice catch. The bite was better for me early. Caught mine tight lining about 8 to 12' deep.

Looks like we all picked a good day to fish Barren, lol. We were tight lining jigs and found fish anywhere from 6.5' all the way to 18' deep. Looks like tiny found the big ones. We had a few nice ones, but most others were right at 10". Couldn't ask for better weather for late November.

Congrats to ya all . Looks like Barren is the hot lake right now. Brad, did the cat hit a jig or on a minner?

My son and I went as well and boated 30 keepers, all crappies. Of all the catfish, flathead is the best. badbrad, Mike at Lowes told me the next time you come in he'd holler at me so we'd be able to shake hands. We sure have come close many times.

Chucky, the ole flathead hit a jig believe it or not and really put up a fight. Slab seeker1, that be great, look forward to meeting you and talking some crappie fishing. I'll make a point to find you next time I'm there, which won't be long I'm sure. Those were some nice catches, we'll all be eating well. Lol
