    Default Evening Kentucky Lake Bite

Went out fishing this afternoon with my friends Harry and Bob. Even though we were post cold front and it was chilly out we were not let down. The fall bite is pretty good.

I'll give ya anything but waypoints. Blood River, 6-12 feet deep, 1/16 ounce white pro-model Roadrunner, using an assortment of jigs. Black shad panfish assassin curly tails, tri-color black, green, and chartreuse Southern Pro Little Hustlers, and white Bass Pro tubes. Oh, and Crappie Nibbles on all.

    Hey Dog,

We caught them mostly on jigs but minnows did catch a few. We were fishign single rod in hand, but I think if they are on, either trolling or spider riggin' should work.

Depends on where you want to stay Monroe and what part of the lake you want to fish. The State parks likely have rooms if not cabins. (KY Dam is at the north end and Kenlake is at the mid-point of the Kentucky part of Kentucky Lake) The Moors will also likely have rooms and maybe cabins. I know John and Susan at Irvin Cobb were trying to keep a cabin or two open all winter. Like I said it depends on what part of the lake you want to fish. I heard Moors Marina is closed. Sugar Creek Bay Marina (At Irvin Cobb Resort) is likely open with reduced hours. And there are always motels in Murray and Benton open and some have electric for boats. Also some of the lake area gas stations have alcohol free fuel as well, like Baits and More in Aurora and Kats Wildcat convenience store on 280 near Wildcat Ramp. Prices have been running from $3.49-$4.19 a gallon. Some of the bait stores with inside tanks have minnows all winter as well. There are a lot of options for you.

We are planning to come down on Friday after Thanksgiving. Believe will be staying at Moor's, think the lodge rooms run $49/night this time of year. Nice place to stay at a reasonable price. Old Guide have you been up to that part of the lake recently? Just curious if you have any reports at that end of the lake.

    thanks
