Thumbs up Donation Update (Martha's Vineyard)

Sorry it took so long to post this but I still haven't recovered from the Shindig. I have been down in my back for 3 weeks & at times can barely get out of a chair.

As y'all know, we took up donations for Martha's Vineyard at this years Fall Get Together. Martha's Vineyard is a local, not for profit, Christian Organization, that provides thousands of meals and food for the needy (primarily the elderly) in this area. Miss Martha is a is a wonderful lady and works her butt off every day for this cause.

After the Shindig I delivered over 300 lbs of food and a cash donation.

I want to thank each and every one of you for making this possible. I told her where the donations came from, and Miss Martha said to send her thanks to all of you! I only wish that everyone could have been there when I delivered the donation, to see the gratitude in her face and hear the gratitude in her voice. What a wonderful, Christian woman. God holds a special place for people like her.

I've added pictures of me delivering the donations. Like an idiot, I didn't get the pile of food in the picture but did get the cash donation in there. Notice I was sport'n the Crappie.com shirt!

Thanks again folks. We did a GOOD thing!

That is Awesome Wiskers! Good deal and great idea on you and Brenda's part. I appreciate all that you do for us group of crappie fisherman every year. I know that it has to be a huge load on you and Brenda to host something like this event. Once again, thank you for finding such a great organization to give to and thank you for all you do for us. I appreciate you buddy!
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

It's a "Labor of Love!" Every time I see a smile on somebody's face it makes it worth it.

I just want to thank all of you for the hospitality you showed my wife and I, this was the first time we ever attended an event like this and I really enjoyed meeting some of the people who's post that I read all the time. I hope in time I get to know some of you better and maybe sometime I will catch up with you out on the water. If you're down around Paris Landing when I'm down at the lake give me a holler. THANKS AGAIN, JOE
