Default Below Meldahl OR CINCI POOL

Went a few times this week and didn't catch any crappie but caught the heck out of smallies and green carp on 1/8 roadrunner with a white curly tail. Bite seems to slow or die off around 2 pm. I would like to add if mods don't mind is if anyone up in Alexandria Key area there is a new gun shop there with some really decent prices, I just bought a new glock 26 Gen 3 for 489.00 and the guys are real friendly also. Forgot to say who they were, Triggers is the name.

They were a couple pounds at best but a whole lot of them and the river was right around 15 feet. I went a few days later when the water dropped and caught some but not a whole lot. I went a total of 3 time last week and the two days the river was higher fishing was alot better. On the third day I probably got 10 or 15 but the other two when there was more current I lost count.

East of Maysville it was 70-71 in Cabin Creek & 67-69 in Crooked Creek on Sunday. Bass, catfish & bluegill mostly. Had 3 keeper crappie all day. I thought it would be a better bite with the cooler weather. Caught fish all day long, just not what I was after. Shad by the millions everywhere.

Thanks for water temps, it is amazing how much shad is in the creeks this time of year. I have seen them where you could walk across the entire creek without touching water. No wonder they are hard to catch, too much bait.
