    Default Boat traffic?

How do you guys deal with it? I found out yesterday to avoid pleasure boaters on Cumberland. Is there a law that if boats are tied up you have to no wake by them? I made a few waves by them then when they came out of the creek they through water in my boat. I just looked at them dealt with the waves and continued trolling. Guess I need a weekend job and fish during the week:D

I deal with the waves the only way i know how to legally, alot of cussing. Only if it is legally marked " no wake". But, out of courtesy may slow down or move further away to keep from waking them. That is why Slabeye fishes during the week. He says it gets pretty bad on the weekends.

GFO think they own the lake. Fishing creek was bad. I pray for colder weather. That slows them down quick.

The boating regs. state...Boaters must use idle speed
    (slowest speed possible to maintain
    maneuverability of a boat)
    when passing another boat with
    an occupant actively engaged in
    fishing.

That's word for word, right outta the book and seldom enforced.

You are responsible for your wake and ANY loss or damage caused by it. This applies to ALL vessels on ALL waters of the US.

Most of them sounded like a jet. I like the convenience of here but I go elsewhere to get away from them if I can.

Summer time is thiers, but fall, winter and spring is ours. Carry a camera, you can file complaits when you have proof. Most all boaters are considerate, but 10% are a pain in the a%^. Look at the ramp fools. (Being kind)

this makes me think of a day my fiance and myself were fishing a creek in northern ky a few years back and this creek is not very wide, maybe 75-100 feet wide and while we are sitting there fishing an ******* decides he is going to run past us, never slowed a bit, so i yelled some profanities at him, well on his way back later on i could hear him coming so i told my fiance to stand up so he could see she was 7 months pregnant and this time he slowed down, looked at her, and wouldnt even look back at me. these people make me so angry some days, its one thing on the main body of a lake but in a creek its not just being curtious, it is for safety as well.
