For daily creel and fishing license purposes, one fishing day equals one calendar day
Does this mean, if I go fishing on monday at 6 pm and catch my limit of fish before midnight, and stay til after midnight I can catch another limit ????? Just curious, I was reading up on regulations and never noticed this before. I always consider an outing as a day. I been going at dark and staying til almost daylight, which by what I take now is 2 days fishing going by the calender.......just sayin........just for conversation here, not meaning I am not ethical or would even do this......just saying how it is stated. A calender day would either be the date of the month or the day of the week right?????

Dont get caught leaving the lake in the morning with more than one days limit. The game warden will answer your question for you right on the spot.

Technically speaking ... yes. Since a fishing "day" is midnight to midnight, you'd be within your rights to have "in your possession" two limits. In reality, I don't think you'd be "legal" having more than one day's limit "in your boat".
Your best bet would be to take the 1st limit back to your camp, or vehicle, and ice them down ... then return to your honeyhole after midnight, and start working on your 2nd limit. But, even that might be hard to prove. One might want to have plenty of witnesses (of good repute), that knows when you left & came back with your 1st limit ... then left (after midnight) and returned with limit #2.

A friend of mine tried that and they let him go. However, he was checked and checked and checked after that. And if you're trolling with alot of rods that results in a major inconvenience. Crappiepappy is spot on!
