Got a company function next week (Staying at Cozy Cove) just north of Jonathon Creek. Was thinking about dragging my boat along for evenings and maybe stay an extra day or 2. Are the crappie a waste of my time this time of year there? We are doing good up here on minnows. Just wondering if I should drag it with or save the gas?

I would pm billproxs. He is the MAN when it comes to Ky Lake and mountain lions.
Hey Hookit,
We been catching a few out on the drops in front of the bays in 18' to 28' of water. The better bite I here is on minnows but I catch a few on glow tubes in red and chartreuse with glow heads. Quit using minnows a while back and it is a lot easier when its hot. Hope you have a good trip. I am going trout fishing for a week in the Cumberland tail water. Maybe a 50 pound striper will show up.

I've been catching some nice crappie in the bays in 12' to 15'. Mostly Blacks. Vertical jig'n brush. Gotta be close to a drop. The recent rains have pulled some bait fish into the bays and a few crappie have followed.
