    Default Kentucky lake october strategy?

Just wanted to pick some people's brains here. I went to ky lake back in march and did real well in the blood river by spider rigging along the old creek channel in 12-15 feet of water catching crappie a couple feet off the bottom on jigs. Well I'm heading back to blood river the weekend of October 5th and was wondering if that same strategy would work for that time of year? Or do I need to do something different in the fall? Any help or tips would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

    Guppy,
That will work. As the water starts cooling down in a normal year the shad move back in the bays in the fall and the crappie will follow them in. Kind of like a spring pattern but usually in the 1st half of the bays. You can't go wrong in the Blood!
