I was at Green all last week. The wind was horrible Tuesday & Wendsday , real nice day Thursday and Friday with a good bite drifting, Saturday not very good because of all the boat traffic from a bass tournement.

I was there last weekend ... Robinson Creek area. Water was still 3' or so below pool, and had cooled off some. Robinson Creek area had normal water color, but the island on the camp ground side was very clear (>3ft visibility). Found NO fish around the shallows, and ended up catching them at 14' deep ... right off the bottom. They were cold, and their colors were washed out. They did, however, "thump" the jigs I was dragging around ... and all of them, even the dinks, had the entire jig in their mouth.

Lake Level chart says the lake was 2' below pool on Fri 13th ... so it appears to be rising slowly. Let us know how you do, if/when you go. And give us a lake conditions report, too ... so we'll have a better understanding of where things stand, when we have the Slabfeast on the 28th. Appreciate it !!

Fished Butler Creek put in at Taylor County boat ramp due to the wind. 7:30 to 9:30 it was fishable, by ten the wind was getting up, so stuck it out to 5PM. Water was clear 61.2 starting, rose to 64.5. We were spider rigging and drifting minnows and tubes on pony head jigs. Bite slowed at 1PM. Changes to 1/8 pony heads with big blades and 2" curley tails with a 3/8 egg sinkers to get the baits down to 14 feet. No fish were shallow, but in deeper water 14 to 20 ft. Ended with 25 keepers and probably 35 non keepers. The females still had eggs but they are not blood shot. I guess Mother Nature will some time move them shallow for a spawn. Unless we get some good rains these lakes may never get to summer pool. Given the wind conditions we had a pretty good day.

A couple good rainy days and she'll be back to summer pool. It won't take much at this point. They're holding back harder than I thought they would after the last two springs so I think by the SlabFest that we will be sitting at 675.

Me and my nephew fished Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we started at about 9:30am and fished till 12:30 and then went back at 6:30. We finished with 60. Winds were bad where we were.
Fished in 19-22 fow at about 8-10 deep open water. Sunday we only fished til 11:30. Had 46 keepers. Caught them from 7 fow to 12 fow fishing 4 ft deep. Finished in 19-22 fow.
water temp was 63-64. Sunday the winds blew so hard the white cap and waves were 11/2 ft tall.
